„Tetas“, a company specializing in energy infrastructure development and maintenance, has won a public procurement tender and signed a contract worth €1.95 million with AB “Energijos skirstymo operatorius” (ESO) for the reconstruction of the 35/10 kV transformer substation in Antašava (Kupiškis district). During the project, all existing equipment will be replaced with new installations, which will improve the reliability and safety of electricity supply in the Northeastern region of Lithuania. Tetas will carry out the project design, dismantle the existing 35/10 kV equipment, and install new power transformers and switchgear, modern microprocessor-based relay protection, automation, and telemetry systems.
New communication cabinets, fire alarm, and metering equipment will also be installed. Outdated cable lines will be replaced with new ones, and the substation will undergo engineering reconstruction along with other associated project works. The reconstruction of the Antašava transformer substation is planned to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2026.
This project is an important step in modernizing Lithuania’s electricity distribution infrastructure
and ensuring a reliable supply of electricity to consumers.
