Tetas to Build a New Transformer Substation and Reconstruct a Power Transmission Line for €3.67 Million

Energy infrastructure development and maintenance company Tetas, commissioned by Lithuania’s electricity transmission system operator Litgrid, will implement a project to construct the 110/10 kV Lazdėnai transformer substation and reconstruct a 110 kV overhead transmission line. The aim of this project is to ensure a more reliable electricity supply in the Elektrėnai municipality.

Having won the public procurement tender, Tetas will prepare the detailed design, construct a new 110 kV switchyard, and upgrade a section of the 110 kV Lazdėnai–Vievis transmission line. The project will also include the installation of all necessary electrical, control, and protection equipment, as well as the laying of cables and communication networks, and the deployment of protection, fire alarm, and video surveillance systems.

All works will be carried out in accordance with Litgrid’s technical requirements and will make use of Building Information Modelling (BIM) to ensure higher accuracy, efficiency, and safety during project implementation.

The total value of the project is €3.67 million (excluding VAT), and the works are expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2027.
