Ramūnas Papinigis was appointed CEO of the energy infrastructure development and maintenance company Tetas on Friday, and will take up the post on 11 July. Until then, the company will be headed by its interim CEO Tomas Urmanavičius, according to a press release.
For the last two years, Papinigis has been working as the Executive Director of the waste management company Ekonovus, and earlier he was the Head of Infrastructure, Wholesale and Transport Departments of the company Kesko Senukai Lithuania, as well as the Transport and Technical Departments of the company Maxima LT. He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Engineering from Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (Vilnius Tech).
“Ramūnas takes over the helm of the company at an important time for Tet and for the EPSO-G Group as it enters a new phase of its operations with the launch of the implementation of the Group’s Strategy 2030, which was approved last year. Our goal for the new CEO is to build a smarter, more flexible and digitised organisation, increasing its productivity and expanding into new business segments,” said Ieva Kuodė, interim chair of the board of Teto.
“Tetas, a member of the EPSO-G group of companies, is currently implementing the development of synchronisation projects with continental European grids, which are important for the country’s energy independence. The company is also one of the contractors used by EPSO-G for the construction of the Physical Barrier on the border with Belarus.
After Papinigis takes over as CEO in July, Urmanavičius will continue to serve on the Board of Teto. He had been suspended from his job there after taking up the post of interim company manager.
