On 27-02-2016, Kaunas hosted the traditional Company team building event “Winter Day 2016”, organised by Kaunas colleagues. Traditionally, the Company’s event was divided into two parts – cultural and sporting.
The cultural part started with a guided tour of the dungeons of Kaunas IX Fort, where it was damp and chilly. Divided into three teams, we went in different directions at the same time, but we all visited, heard and saw the same things.
We continued our cultural excursion at the museum of the AB STUMBRAS Vodka Factory, where STUMBRAS employees told us the history of the factory, and we also had the opportunity to visit the workshops where vodka, Lithuanian Krupnikas and other spirits are produced.
The sports part was spent at the Šaltupis agritourism farm. After warming up and having some hot tea and snacks, we got down to our tasks. In a practical assignment for a speciality, you had to connect devices in a common circuit to light two light bulbs according to a given diagram. Later, we threw penalties outside according to wards/departments, and when we came back inside, we fought fiercely in a battle of wits!
Traditionally, we have also passed on the flag for another celebration, i.e. y. organising the “Fitness and Sports Day 2016” for the Panevėžys colleagues of the Power Grid Division of the Technology Department. Good luck to them in their organisational work!
