The energy sector is changing and growing rapidly, which means that the future will require more strong, responsible and innovative specialists. If you are considering engineering studies, or are already studying and looking for opportunities to grow, a Tetas scholarship could become one of the first important steps in your professional journey.

Who can apply for a scholarship?

Students from all years of study at universities, colleges and vocational schools may apply for a scholarship, provided they are studying at educational institutions participating in the scholarship competition announced by Tetas.

About the scholarship

The Tetas scholarship provides monthly financial support of EUR 300 to students seeking to grow in the fields of energy and engineering.

The duration of support depends on the type of scholarship. The following scholarship types are available:

One-off

scholarship

Scholarship awarded for one full academic year

Patron scholarship — up to 7 months

The number of scholarships awarded may vary each year. In 2025, Tetas awarded 5 scholarships.

Scholarship competition procedure

Each year, at the end of the second quarter, Tetas announces a competition for scholarships.

Once the competition is announced, a period of approximately one month begins, during which higher education and vocational institutions submit applications for scholarship funding.

All applications received are evaluated, including their compliance with the Tetas support allocation procedure, which is prepared in accordance with the EPSO-G Support and Humanitarian Aid Policy.

Selected educational institutions organise the submission of student applications for scholarships.

A decision is made on:

  • which educational institutions will receive support;
  • how many scholarships will be allocated to each institution.

Student application and selection process

Students of the educational institutions that win the competition submit their applications through their institution and take part in the selection process.

Candidates are evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • entrance score for first-year, first-semester students, or grade point average for other students — a recommended average of 6 or higher;
  • motivation letter;
  • motivational interview with the candidate

The final evaluation of candidates consists of two parts:

50% – motivational interview

50% – academic results and motivation letter

During the selection process, we aim to assess not only academic performance, but also the candidate’s motivation, attitude, and overall alignment with the values and culture of the Tetas team.

Let’s build the future of energy together
